Margarita Levieva

The actress Margarita Levieva was born on 9^th February 1980, in Saint Petersburg, Russia, into a family of Russian-Jewish descent.

During their childhoods, both of her grandmothers survived the siege of Leningrad, which took place during World War II.

Margarita began doing rhythmic gymnastics from the age of three. She emigrated to the USA with her mother and twin brother Michael at the age of 11; the family eventually settled down in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, and despite being accepted into the prestigious Laguardia High School to study dance, she attended a public high school in New Jersey instead.

While working in the fashion industry, Margarita graduated from New York University a year early, with a double major in economics and psychology as well as minors in Russian history, sociology, and philosophy.

She would then complete the Meisner Acting Program in New York.
