          Francisco Buenaventura Labastida Ochoa (Los Mochis, Sinaloa; 14 de agosto de 1942)[1][2][3]​ es un economista y político mexicano, exmiembro del Partido Revolucionario Institucional.

          Su padre, Eduardo Labastida Kofahl, fue médico cirujano originario de Jalisco,[4]​ nieto de Francisco Labastida Izquierdo, gobernador de Jalisco en 1920, y bisnieto del general Francisco Labastida Bravo.[1]​ Su abuelo materno fue Zacarías Ochoa y su tío abuelo José María Ochoa.

          Es hermano del filósofo mexicano Jaime Labastida.[5]

          Educación

          Labastida fue graduado en economía de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).[6]​ Realizó además estudios de posgrado en Santiago de Chile en el Instituto Latinoamericano de Planeación Económica y Social[7][8]​de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe sobre Planeación de la Educación.
