Egyptian actress Tayseer Mohmoud Fahmy will return to the theatre stage after an absence that lasted several years. Tayseer will make her return debut in a new comedy play to be performed in spring of 2003 after an agreement with Al Qawmi Theater manager actor Riad Al Khouly, the London based Elaph reported.

Last August, Fahmy wrapped up shooting her new TV series “Mamar Al Zaman” (Time Path) directed by Mahmoud Hanafi and written by Mohammed Fathi Al Sharqawi. The series belongs to the science fiction genre and revolves around the idea of traveling through time.

On a different note, Tayseer stressed during a visit to Lebanon after an invitation from MBC channel and Future TV earlier this year, that she plans to gear up for an immense series which will gather artists from all over the Arab world calling on Arabs to unite through art.

She considers art as the tool for change and development of Arab societies.

“If we surrender to despair and take the stagnant stances of the Ara
